Reap the Benefits in the Future Undeniably , it is difficult for any foreign exchange student to readily and to easily mingle with the other students in his or her classes .Being in a foreign country is frightening and strenuous for the pressure of trying to cope with the culture and to fit in with the crowd both add to the terror . Writing had always been an arduous activity for me before , but today , I find it an exciting activity that enhances my skill and broadens my knowledge in different aspects . During the beginning of my ESL classes , I had a very difficult time mingling with other people . The other foreign exchange students would rarely talk to me because of my lack of knowledge in speaking the English language . Back in my hometown , I had been a very sociable person but when I arrived in this foreign community , I had lost confidence in myself and can barely talk to others . Not only was I unable to communicate with others , but also could not write well . My previous way of writing using the English language was below mediocre .The primary reason was that it was very difficult for me to express my ideas . It was frustrating how I could not find the right words to express what I think , because of my lack knowledge of vocabulary .Second , it was confusing to organize my thoughts in a concise manner and to follow the standard grammatical procedures .
