After the devising the problem , gathering of data must be done because a hypothesis should not be drawn out of the blue , it should have a basis , to be true to its nature , an educated guess (Otto Towle , 1985 .The data that would be collected may come from other studies since the other studies also may have undergone the process of the scientific method . Also , in this manner , the solution to the problems may be discovered and all of the critical information that may be of use . Also ,gathering of the information may be the catalyst in attaining the goals that were set .
